Do Good Social Hour

Do Good Social Hour: Medium talk is less What do you do? and more What’s lighting you up?

Join us for some medium talk at the first Do Good Social Hour, an informal, public meet up for people who prefer “medium talk” to get to the point and do more good.

If you want to recap what you learned at the last Do Good Conversation or just want to meet others who care about making the world a better place, this is for you.

For problem-solvers, bridge-builders, innovators and value-based professionals ready to talk with people wildly outside their industry.

The biggest challenges we face won’t be solved by one sector alone. New perspectives spark new possibilities.

When artists talk to engineers, farmers to data nerds, and health care workers to real estate agents, weird and wonderful things happen.

This social hour is for breaking out of our boxes and being open to ideas that help inspire us to build something better.

Do Good Conversation: The Set List

The Set List: Who Defines Boise’s Sound?
A Do Good Conversation on Music, Culture & Community in the City of Trees

Austin, Nashville, Boise? On July 10th, we’re turning up the volume on one of our city’s most powerful assets: its music scene. From concerts on top of the US Bank Building, Alive After Five, to Treefort Music Festival, music continues to shape the sound of Boise. We want to know what’s working, what’s missing, and what kind of music city do we want to be?

We’ll be joined by venue owners, performers, producers, city leaders, and local legends for a candid conversation about the future of music in Boise: from talent pipelines, music accessibility, venue logistics, and the value of a good soundcheck.

In this conversation, we’re asking what we can do to support Boise’s music scene. That might mean showing up for a local show or donating to a youth music program, maybe hosting a backyard concert or just picking up that instrument gathering dust in the corner.

Whether you’re a frequent patio listener, diehard Treefort-goer, part of the musicscape, or the lone dancer side stage at Alive After Five… this one’s for you.
