Our Why

We are motivated to make good change happen faster because we believe current business standards and practices aren’t sustainable for the people or the planet.

As a women-led organization with children of our own, we are inspired by the initiatives of the European Union’s Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals in building a better tomorrow for our future generations. As Europe strides in front of the United States in sustainability, responsibility, and transparency, we aim to be on the front end normalizing impact reporting and Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) initiatives in our communities.

Operational Leaders Making Sustainability Actually Work

With more than two decades of combined experience in operations and management, we saw one glaring disconnect: the way systems are designed rarely matches how they actually work on the front lines. The same is true for sustainability. No product, policy, or certification will make a real impact if the people running your business every day, or the consumers using your product, aren’t aligned.

That’s why we founded HMK Impact—to bridge the gap between goals and real-world execution. We help implement practical, measurable sustainability strategies that don’t just look good on paper but actually work—reducing waste, cutting costs, and making a lasting impact.

Stories relay the truth about human experience. Shedding light on the characteristics that unite us all, good narratives highlight what makes us unique as individuals while fostering an understanding of our place in the greater societal ecosystem. A story must have a beginning, middle, and end, but a great story can spur social change and challenge our preconceived notions about our internal and external lives. We are dedicated to ensuring that everyone’s story is heard and shared. Join us. This is just the beginning.
