In the US alone, 50 billion disposable coffee cups are used annually—that’s the equivalent of 107 garbage trucks every hour, every day.
Businesses are just 6% of Boise’s trash accounts and generate a staggering 64% of the city’s total waste. We’re doing something about it!
While many sustainability enthusiasts habitually opt for the mug, not everyone remembers to do so (ourselves included). Making "For here or to go?" a standard barista query could guide more customers towards waste reducing choices.
By offering more sustainable choices, businesses take on a pivotal role in shaping a better future, demonstrating that small changes can lead to substantial, positive outcomes.
